THE BLOOD LAMENT
Included here will be numerous unpublished short stories and a few novellas featuring a protagonist called Derek Hazard . I have dashed off several dozen of these stories, of varying lengths, for the past thirty-plus years. As was the custom of the day, the protagonist has a moniker -- The Wolf. Hazard shares many characteristics with the fictional heroes listed in the dedication below -- he is smart, resourceful, witty, and dangerous. In my opinion he has a harder edge, can be more ruthless, than, say, Richard Rollison or Simon Templar. Such a character allows me to write stories in the sub-genres of mystery, caper, adventure, and pure action.
The Saint, The Toff, The Baron, Bulldog Drummond, Raffles, Richard Hannay, John and Emma, The Persuaders, Allan Quartermain,
and adventurous souls everywhere.
